CAN LIVERPOOL DO IT?

It has been over 20 years since Liverpool managed on lifting the Premier League title but the chance for them on securing the major trophy has never been as alive as it is now.

Brendan Rodgers and his players have secured victories against top teams in the league but there is no doubt whatsoever that the most influential figures in this season have been Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.

Even at his 33 years of age, Gerrard continues making superb performances in just about every match he is featured in. All of the fans of the club and the teammates of Gerrard want the English midfielder to lift up the Premier League trophy which is something that he has not been able of securing throughout his extensive career.

Along with Chelsea and Manchester City, Liverpool is leading the way for the Premier League title and the club captain Steven Gerrard warned his own club that any kind of slip up or mistake could destroy their dreams of securing the trophy which they haven’t been able of doing in over 2 decades.

“I try not to think too much about what’s at stake.

“Don’t get me wrong, winning the title flashes in and out of my mind from time to time. But I am experienced and I know this is a ruthless league. One bad performance or one bad error could lead to a draw or defeat, so that’s why we have to all stay focused and just think of the next game.”

“But we know the prize for us at the end of this season and we know we can’t afford to under-perform, take anyone lightly or go into the game with the wrong mentality. If we do that, we will slip up, for sure, and then we will be out of it.” Gerrard stated.
