Gerrard is amazed about the talented players that perform in the MLS

Steven Gerrard made his debut in the MLS during a friendly match of LA Galaxy which was played on July 11 of the current year and even though the experienced midfielder has been performing in the American League for a short period of time, Gerrard is already delighted and surprised about what he has seen in the American League.

The former star of Liverpool stated that he has been surprised concerning the amount of quality and talented players that compete in the MLS.

“A lot better than I thought. It surprised me. I think the level is very good. The level’s a lot stronger than what people’s opinions’ suggested before I came.” Steven Gerrard said as he announced his surprise in relation to the skillful but not so known players that play in the MLS.

The 35 year old English midfielder is also feeling confident and optimistic about the potential that his team has as Gerrard said that LA Galaxy can actually be able to compete in the English Premier League.

“We have a very good team here. I’m playing for the CONCACAF Champions League now to win, so I’m very happy with my teammates and the level of my team. I’m not really interested in anyone else’s team. We’re in a good place, we’ve got nearly everyone back fit and available, and we’re a strong team. Teams have to play very well to beat LA Galaxy.” Steven Gerrard added on.

Gerrard joined LA Galaxy in June and has helped the MLS club in their journey of not only competing in their domestic league but also in the US Open Cup as well as a number of International Champions Cup friendly games.

LA Galaxy is currently positioned in the top spot of the MLS and they are aiming of winning their 3rd league cup in 4 years and Steven Gerrard was signed as a player who can help guide the team to success but this will be a difficult thing to accomplish as the league is being tightly competed with Portland Timbers, Sporting Kansas City and Vancouver Whitecaps all staying closely behind LA Galaxy with only a few points difference.
